Due to the kitchen’s design, there were limited options for under-cabinet lighting and adequate illumination of the work surface due to the openings in the walls. The underside of the support beams served as an ideal position to illuminate the work surface including background lighting for the adjacent dining room and living room. Matching the wood species and grain texture to the cabinets gave a complimentary feel to the installation.
